Extra Credit
Pick one of the following options to submit. Each option is worth 30 points.
A. Research
At the beginning of the musical, Oliver is an orphan living in the workhouse. Do some research into the Victorian workhouses of England and Wales or the 'Poor Law' that is closely associated with them. Tell me a little about what you find out in at least 300 words.
B. Art
Although detail wasn't given in the lesson, most of the characters in Oliver! have a distinctive dress associated with them. Draw me a picture of one of the characters but don't tell me who it is. Upload your image to a file sharing website and send it to me. If I can recognise them from your drawing you will get full marks!
C. Musical
Make a video or sound recording of you singing or playing one of the songs from Oliver! Upload your video to a file sharing website (photobucket) or youtube and include the link in your video/recording. I am looking for effort and interpretation here rather than musical talent (although being able to hold a tune does help!). You can choose any song, you are not restricted by gender. For more information about videos please visit the forum.
D. Puzzle
Below are two pictures of Victorian London but they are not the same. There are 15 differences between the two images for you to locate. Indicate the differences on a copy of one of the pictures, upload your image to a file sharing website and send it to me.
