Essay (10 points)
Pick one or a combination of the questions below to answer in full sentences. Minimum 150 words in total is required for your answer to get full marks. You cannot get more than 10 marks for this section so don't ask.
- Which of the musicals covered in this course have you enjoyed learning about the most and why?
- Did you know any of the musicals beforehand or were they all new to you?
- Were there any of the stories that you didn't like? Why?
- Which was your favourite character and why? Did you have a least favourite?
- Have
you ever performed in any of the musicals studied in this class? Which
character did you play and did you enjoy it? Tell me some more about
your experiences.
- Are there any of the songs you've listened to during this course which got stuck in your head? Why do you think this is and how did you get rid of them?!
The Letters Game (10 points)
Pick one of the options below and write down as many words can connected with that musical which start with the letters given. If you use a person then it can be either their first name or surname. Places should be the first letter as should song titles. General words which are not specifically related to the musical are not allowed. You need to list 10 words in total for 10 marks but please only pick one option (although you can list words for all letters given). If this is unclear please let me know and I'll try and explain it better! If you want to give more than 10 words just in case that's fine but this part of the exam is only worth 10 points.
For example, if I chose "Jesus Christ Superstar" and the letter was M I could have Matthew, Mary Magdeline, Mark Hellinger Theatre etc.
Option 1) "Jesus Christ Superstar" - Letters J, C and S
Option 2) "Half a Sixpence" - Letters H, A and S
Option 3) "Oliver!" - Letters O and T
Option 4) "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" - Letters S, T, D and B.

Bonus Points
Are you a couple of points short of the maximum and want to finish this course with a nice round 300 points? Well if this is the case here is your chance to get to the magical full marks. Write me another short essay from the options given above and I will count this as worth anything up to 10 marks. If you have written an essay for your exam you must answer some of the other questions for these bonus marks, do not just repeat yourself as this is worth nothing. Minimum of 150 words if you wish to get any points. I'll know how many more you need!
Please send your essay along with your final exam, making sure it is clearly marked "BONUS POINTS".
